Unger HydroPower equipment for producing pure water

In this category, you will find Unger HydroPower filters and machines sold individually for producing pure water for the professional cleaning of windows, façades and other surfaces.

Unlike complete kits, these products do not necessarily include a pole, brush, hose or all the accessories required to start working. Always check the contents specified in the product details for each item.

HydroPower Ultra DI resin filters

The HydroPower Ultra filters use ion-exchange resin to remove dissolved minerals from the water.

They do not require a power supply or their own pump. They operate when connected to a water supply with sufficient pressure and feature a digital TDS meter to check the quality of the output water.

The range includes three capacities:

HydroPower Ultra S

The HydroPower Ultra S is the most compact model. It contains one 6-litre Ultra resin bag.

It is intended for moderate consumption, occasional work or users who need an easy-to-transport DI filter.

HydroPower Ultra L

The HydroPower Ultra L contains three 6-litre Ultra resin bags, giving a total of 18 litres.

Its greater capacity allows more pure water to be produced between resin replacements than the Ultra S model. Actual service life depends on the hardness of the incoming water and the flow rate used.

HydroPower Ultra LC

The HydroPower Ultra LC also uses three 6-litre resin bags, but adds a transport trolley and specific components to make it easier to move.

It includes a shut-off tap to prevent leaks during transport and a pre-installed dynamic regulator to control the water flow.

Resin and purity control

HydroPower Ultra filters use pre-dosed resin bags with FloWater 2.0 technology, designed to distribute water evenly throughout the tank.

The TDS meter indicates the mineral concentration of the output water. The resin must be replaced when it no longer produces the purity required for cleaning.

HydroPower Nano

The HydroPower Nano is a hybrid system that combines:

  • A pre-filter for sediment, particles and chlorine.
  • A nanofiltration membrane.
  • A final DI deionisation stage.

It operates without an electrical connection and uses the pressure available at the water supply.

Depending on the inlet conditions and the flow optimiser setting, Unger indicates an approximate output of between 100 and 260 litres of pure water per hour.

It is available in two versions:

  • Complete HydroPower Nano: includes the HydroPower Ultra DI filter.
  • Basic HydroPower Nano: does not include the DI filter and is intended to be combined with a compatible one.

Nano technology reduces the mineral load reaching the DI stage and may extend resin service life. Performance depends on hardness, pressure, temperature and system settings.

HydroPower RO S

The HydroPower RO S is a compact reverse osmosis system intended primarily for one operator.

It uses a three-stage filtration process and an electric pump to produce up to approximately 180 litres of pure water per hour.

It also includes a Boost function that supplies mains water at a pressure of between 8 and 10 bar for pre-washing certain surfaces. The water used in Boost mode is not pure water.

HydroPower RO M

The HydroPower RO M has two reverse osmosis membranes and achieves an approximate output of up to 350 litres of pure water per hour.

It can supply two users or two poles simultaneously, provided that the installation and inlet conditions are suitable.

Previous-generation RO equipment

The category may also include earlier systems, such as HiFlo RO High Performance, HydroPower RO L, RO40C, RO60C or other references.

This equipment may require specific filters, membranes, connections or maintenance procedures. It should not automatically be considered equivalent to the current HydroPower RO S and RO M.

Which equipment should you choose?

  • HydroPower Ultra DI: for a simple installation without electricity and with maintenance based mainly on resin.
  • HydroPower Nano: to reduce the load on the DI resin without using electricity.
  • HydroPower RO S: for frequent use, hard water and one operator.
  • HydroPower RO M: for greater output and up to two simultaneous users.

Your choice should be based on water hardness, frequency of use, required output, available pressure and the number of operators.

It has a single 6-litre resin bag, dimensions of 30 × 31 × 35 cm and a flow rate of 120 l/h, providing up to 6 hours and 600 m² of work per refill. The HydroPower Ultra L is the highest-flow pure water filter in Unger’s Ultra range. With the same 3 resin bags as the Ultra S, it produces significantly more pure water per hour — up to 2,000 m² and 20 hours per refill, compared with 600 m² and 6 hours for the Ultra S. No electricity required, with an integrated digital TDS meter and flow regulator. The choice for professionals with frequent, intensive use.

The HydroPower RO S is the most compact and economical reverse-osmosis system in the Unger range. It produces pure water without consuming resin, using a reverse-osmosis membrane and a 0.6 kW stainless-steel pump. 180 l/h in Pure Water Mode and up to 1,000 l/h in Boost Mode for pre-rinsing very dirty surfaces. The solution for areas with very hard water or high workloads where resin costs would be very high.
