HiFlo RO60S Unger — maximum flow without resin for solar installations and large areas
The HiFlo RO60S is the high-performance version of the HiFlo filter, designed specifically for jobs where pure water production volume is the absolute priority and where local water quality makes it possible to dispense with the final resin cartridge.
The key difference compared with the RO60C is that the RO60S does not have a post-filter resin cartridge — instead, it incorporates a large, long-lasting carbon pre-filter. The result is a system with lower maintenance costs in soft-water areas, with the highest flow rate available in the range: 750 l/h.
Filtration system — without resin
Large fine-particle pre-filter — removes sediment and particles that could damage the membranes, ensuring maximum service life.
Large carbon pre-filter — removes chlorine that degrades reverse-osmosis membranes. The large capacity of the carbon filter ensures a service life of approximately 200,000 litres with a chlorine content of 2 ppm — considerably longer than small-format carbon filters.
Double high-performance RO membrane — two membranes in parallel filter up to 98% of minerals, producing pure water at 750 l/h. Without a resin cartridge, the outlet TDS depends exclusively on membrane performance and incoming water quality.
What type of water and work is the RO60S suitable for?
The RO60S is the right choice in two situations:
Soft- or medium-water areas — where the membranes alone produce water with a sufficiently low TDS (generally below 10 ppm), without the need for final resin polishing. In very hard-water areas, the RO60C with resin cartridge guarantees TDS 0 regardless of incoming water quality.
Cleaning photovoltaic installations and solar panels — the manufacturer specifically highlights this use. Cleaning solar panels requires large volumes of pure water to wash extensive surfaces, and the RO60S provides the highest possible flow rate without the recurring cost of a resin cartridge.
