HydroPower RO S Unger — compact reverse osmosis for pure water without resins

The HydroPower RO S represents a technological leap forward compared with DI resin systems. While Ultra systems use resins that need to be replenished periodically, the RO S produces pure water through reverse osmosis — a membrane filtration process that uses no consumables apart from the pre-filter and the small finishing resin cartridge. The initial investment is higher, but long-term maintenance costs are significantly lower, especially in areas with very hard water.

3-stage filtration system

Stage 1 — Pre-filter: removes sediment, particles and chlorine that could damage the reverse-osmosis membrane.

Stage 2 — Reverse-osmosis membrane: the core of the system. The membrane retains up to 95-99% of dissolved minerals without consuming resin, continuously producing very high-quality water.

Stage 3 — DI resin cartridge (0.55 l): final polishing of the water leaving the membrane to ensure TDS 0 at the outlet. The small resin cartridge lasts much longer than in an Ultra system because it receives water that has already been partially purified by the membrane.

Pure Water Mode and Boost Mode — two tools in one

This is the RO S's most distinctive feature compared with any resin system:

Pure Water Mode — produces up to 180 l/h of purified water at 4 bar for spot-free cleaning of windows and façades with a water-fed pole and brush. The standard working mode.

Boost Mode — generates up to 1,000 l/h of mains water at 8-10 bar for pre-rinsing very dirty surfaces, removing cobwebs from corners and recesses, or rinsing horizontal surfaces. Water pressure that no resin system can provide, opening up completely new working possibilities.

High-quality stainless-steel pump

The 0.6 kW stainless-steel centrifugal pump guarantees a constant, powerful flow even after long periods of inactivity. It requires no priming or special maintenance after storage.

Simple operation and quick maintenance

TDS sensor at the outlet — indicates the quality of the water produced in real time at the touch of a button.

Manual membrane flushing — regular membrane flushing significantly extends its service life and can be carried out in seconds from the equipment panel.

Automatic shut-off — protects the pump if the water supply is interrupted, preventing damage caused by dry running.

Accessible pre-filter and DI cartridge — they can be replaced and visually inspected without tools during operation, without having to dismantle the equipment.

Robust construction for professional use

Impact- and weather-resistant stainless-steel frame. Maintenance-free solid rubber wheels for moving around the worksite. Stainless-steel quick connectors that prevent dripping. Removable rear cover for easy access to all electrical components.

RO S or Ultra DI systems?

The RO S requires an electrical connection (mains socket on site or generator) and has a higher initial cost than Ultra systems. In return, it virtually eliminates resin costs and offers Boost Mode, which no DI system can match. For professionals with intensive daily use or in areas with very hard water, the cost difference is quickly recouped. For moderate use or areas with soft water, Ultra DI systems are more economical overall.
