Unger ErgoTec Ninja Channels & Rubber Blades

The channel and rubber blade are two of the main components of the ErgoTec Ninja window squeegee. The channel keeps the rubber blade correctly positioned and distributes pressure across the glass, while the rubber blade is the part that comes directly into contact with the surface and removes the water.

ErgoTec Ninja aluminium channel

The ErgoTec Ninja channel is made from extruded T6 aluminium and specifically designed for the Ninja handle.

Its rigidity helps maintain even pressure on the rubber blade and reduce flexing during use.

It is supplied as standard with Soft rubber and is available in different widths:

SmartClip system

The SmartClip end clips allow you to change the rubber blade and adjust its ends without completely removing the channel.

They also protect the ends of the channel and help keep the rubber blade correctly positioned during use.

Soft rubber

The Soft rubber blade has a more flexible composition and adapts well to low temperatures and slightly uneven surfaces.

It is the rubber blade that Unger supplies as standard with the ErgoTec Ninja channel.

Hard rubber

The Hard rubber blade is harder and retains its properties better when working at higher temperatures or on large, smooth surfaces.

The choice between Soft and Hard mainly depends on the temperature, the surface and the professional's working method.

Power rubber

The Power rubber blade belongs to the high-performance range developed by Unger and can be used as an alternative to traditional rubber blades in compatible channels.

It offers a different formulation and allows the performance of the window squeegee to be adapted to the professional's preferences.

Green Label rubber

The Green Label rubber blade is a professional black rubber blade with FSC Mix Credit certification.

It is available in different sizes and is compatible with the ErgoTec Ninja channel, as well as with other compatible Unger channels.

Which rubber blade should you choose for a Ninja channel?

  • Soft: greater flexibility, particularly suitable for low temperatures and less uniform surfaces.
  • Hard: greater hardness, suitable for high temperatures and large, smooth surfaces.
  • Power: a high-performance alternative for those who prefer a different formulation.
  • Green Label: professional rubber blade with FSC certification and compatibility with the Ninja channel.

There is no single rubber blade that is best for every job. The choice depends on the temperature, the type of surface, the pressure applied and the professional's preference.

When should the rubber blade be replaced?

The rubber blade should be replaced when the edge is damaged, has small nicks or deformities, or starts repeatedly leaving water lines.

There is no fixed replacement interval. Its lifespan depends on frequency of use, pressure, the condition of the glass, dirt and how the tool is stored.
