Unger DIB25 mixed-bed resin — for refilling DI cartridges in RO systems

The DIB25 bag contains 25 litres of Unger mixed-bed ion-exchange resin for manually refilling the DI resin cartridges used in HydroPower reverse-osmosis systems for final water polishing. It is the option for those who prefer to buy resin in bulk and refill the cartridge rather than buy a pre-filled cartridge.

Which systems is it for?

For HydroPower systems that combine a reverse-osmosis membrane with a DI resin cartridge as the final purification stage:

• HydroPower RO S (RO20C) — 0.55 l cartridge
• HydroPower RO M (RO35C) — 4.5 l cartridge
• HiFlo RO60C — 4.5 l cartridge

Not for Ultra S, L or LC systems — these models use pre-filled DIUBS or DIUB3 cartridges that are not refilled with loose resin.

Composition and performance

DIB25 resin is mixed-bed — a mixture of cationic resin (40%) and anionic resin (60%) that works together to remove both the dissolved cations and anions from the water, producing water with a TDS close to 0. In RO systems, the polishing resin works with water that has already been partially purified by the membrane, so it lasts significantly longer than in a pure DI system.

25 litres — large capacity

The 25-litre bag allows you to refill the system cartridge multiple times or refill larger-capacity cartridges such as the 4.5-litre cartridge in RO M and RO60C systems. The resin keeps well in the sealed bag when not in use.
