Unger ErgoTec plastic blades — for scraping delicate surfaces without scratching
The E100P plastic blades are the safe alternative to steel blades for working on surfaces that could be damaged by metal. Using the same ErgoTec scraper as always but with a plastic blade, stuck-on residue can be removed from delicate glass, frames, plastics and painted surfaces without any risk of scratching.
Which surfaces are these blades suitable for?
Conventional steel blades are the most effective tool for scraping residue from standard glass, but there are surfaces where their use is too risky:
Safety and toughened glass — some safety glass has surface treatments that can be damaged by steel blades.
PVC or aluminium frames and profiles — metal easily scratches plastic and anodised aluminium. The plastic blade slides without leaving marks.
Painted or lacquered surfaces — painted components where steel blades would strip the paint.
Transparent plastics — shower screens, polycarbonate and acrylic surfaces that can be scratched by metal.
What does the plastic blade remove?
Stickers, adhesive residue, chewing gum, paint splashes, decals and any dry residue stuck to the surface — provided the surface is compatible and the residue is not excessively hardened. For very hard residue on standard glass, steel blades remain more effective.
Compatible with the Unger ErgoTec scraper
The E100P blades are 10 cm long and designed for the Unger ErgoTec scraper. They are fitted in the same way as standard steel blades — they can be changed in seconds without tools.

The pack of 10 provides sufficient stock for continuous professional work. Plastic blades have a shorter service life than steel blades and need replacing more frequently — keeping stock to hand helps avoid interruptions to work.
