Unger ROMEM reverse osmosis membrane — original replacement for RO M (RO35C) and RO40C
The ROMEM membrane is the original replacement reverse osmosis membrane for Unger HydroPower RO M (RO35C) and RO40C systems. It is the central component of the osmosis system — the membrane that filters up to 98% of minerals from the water and determines the quality and flow rate of the pure water produced. Sold individually.
Important — 2 units are required to replace the equipment
Each RO M (RO35C) and RO40C system is fitted with 2 membranes. For a complete replacement of the system's membranes, you need to order 2 ROMEM units. If only one of the two membranes has deteriorated, it can be replaced individually — although it is usual to replace them as a pair to ensure balanced performance.
When should the membrane be replaced?
Significant drop in pure water flow rate — if the system produces less water than usual at the same inlet pressure, this may indicate membrane deterioration.
High TDS that does not improve after changing the resin cartridge — if the outlet TDS remains high after replacing the RORES resin filter, the problem may be with the membrane.
Chlorine damage — if the carbon pre-filter has not been replaced regularly, chlorine may have irreversibly damaged the membrane.
Diagnosis before replacement
Before ordering the membrane, we recommend calling us for a diagnosis. Membrane replacement is the most costly repair for the RO system — as Unger Technical Service in Spain, we confirm whether the problem is really the membrane or whether there is another cause before proceeding with the replacement.
