HydroPower RO M Unger resin filter RORES — 4.5-litre DI cartridge for RO35C and RO40C
The RORES cartridge is the ion-exchange resin filter used in the final purification stage of Unger HydroPower RO M (RO35C) and RO40C systems. With a capacity of 4.5 litres — significantly greater than the RO S's 0.55-litre cartridge — it provides much longer maintenance intervals between replacements.
Function in the RO system
In reverse osmosis systems, the membranes remove the vast majority of minerals from the water but do not always guarantee TDS 0 at the outlet. The DI resin cartridge acts as the final polishing stage — capturing residual minerals that pass through the membranes to guarantee water with TDS 0. In RO systems, the resin lasts much longer than in a pure DI system because it receives water that has already been highly purified.
When should it be replaced?
Replace the RORES cartridge when the system's TDS meter continuously shows values above 10 ppm at the pure water outlet.
Compatibility
Compatible with HydroPower RO M (RO35C) and RO40C. Not compatible with the RO S (RO20C), which uses the lower-capacity cartridge RORE2.
